The first week of November I'll be flying to Beijing to visit my son
Scott and his wife Alyssa. Scott is the China correspondent for Fortune
magazine, and Alyssa is doing freelance writing for several
publications, including the Wall Street Journal. It will be exciting to
see them and Beijing, capital of the People's Republic of China and one
of the biggest cities in the world. It's 20 years since I was in
China, visiting a friend in the southeast city of Xiamen.
No one is better than my son for gauging the tempo and economic environment in this fascinating country. Updates to come.
