One of the better synopses I've come across on creativity and what it takes to be a photographer is this 9 minute video on the Photodaily site by Joe McNally, a longtime and celebrated shooter. One thing that hits so true for me that he mentions is being able to live with uncertainty. That's certainly been my experience for over 40 years.
