In one of the ongoing incidents of police violating laws, Minneapolis law enforcement officers this past Friday rounded up, detained, and in some cases chemical sprayed print journalists and photojournalists covering protests over the death of Duante Wright. This is totally unacceptable behavior, leaning further toward the actions of police in dictatorships. It is absolutely against the constitution, and happened just hours after a judge issued an order barring the Minnesota State Police from seizing photo and video equipment and using chemical agents or force against the media. This outrageous violation of the press's rights must stop.
